PIC Micro embedded TCP/IP development board.

The idea of this demo board is to show off the capabilities of the PIC within the realm of the Ethernet. This no basic demo board either, the board is designed to be flexible and with the use of our dedicated firmware modules it is possible to adapt this board to control your heating system, garage doors, alarm systems to name but a few, all this is achievable by just “FLASHING” new firmware into the board from any PC on your network or even from across the globe using a pc with GSM modem.

Once the firmware is loaded and the board is connected to say your heating system it is then possible to remotely configure your heating, just imagine, sitting in your front room with your laptop, the weather takes a turn for the worst and your feeling a little cold, simply call up a web browser on you laptop type in a local IP address and remotely change when you want the heating to start etc etc. and with the advent of smart phone such as the XDAs you could even use that to change the heating settings.

When linked in to your houses alarm system the module can send you an email as soon as it senses movement in your house, it could then trigger a video camera that then records what’s going on. You could even get it to send you a SMS text to say something is happening. Or an MMS with an image.

The possibilities are endless.
